Exercise & Men's Health

AOK Health are running a week long media campaign during Men's Health Week. This is promoting the benefits of exercise and how it contributes to the health and wellbeing of men at any age.

The old saying, 'Use it or lose it!' is very important when we consider how not moving the body affects us physically and psychologically in so many ways.

Just exerting ourselves physically through exercise whether it be walking, pumping weights, playing sports, yoga and other physical activities not only produces endorphins that help support our mental health, it makes us breath deeply so our para-sympathetic nervous system is engaged. Exercise also gets blood and lymph systems flowing adn improves digestion too. This directly benefits us by improving circulation and rid the body of bult up toxins making us feel better overall.
